Hydraulic press works in the principle of pascals law.
It has two cylinders (one with bigger diameter and other with smaller) and both are connected using a pipe as shown in the video. The cylinders are filled with hydraulic fluid. The bigger cylinder contains a ram and the smaller one with a plunger.
So the load will be placed on the ram. As the plunger moves down, due to the application of pascals law the pressure will get equally distributed in all the directions. As a result of this, a pressure exerted at the plunger will get reflected at the ram end.
This will help to lift the load at the ram end with a little pressure exerted at the plunger side.
